Security and data protection
This page describes the measures in place today, and only those. It also says what we do not promise.
Protected connection
The website and the ChargeTeam portal only open over HTTPS: an http address is redirected, and your browser remembers for a year to connect over HTTPS only.
Passwords are never stored in clear text: only their hash (bcrypt) is kept. The session cookie cannot be read by any script on the page and only travels over HTTPS.
Two-factor authentication
Clients and the ChargeTeam team can turn on two-factor authentication: after the password, a six-digit code from an authenticator app, with backup codes in case the phone is lost.
Technicians’ documents
Technicians’ documents (ID, qualifications, insurance) only open after signing in, for the technician concerned and for the team. Every time one is viewed, it is recorded in a log.
Artificial intelligence
This website does not call any artificial intelligence service. ChargeTeam’s AI assistants use OpenAI, under OpenAI’s data processing addendum.
Data residency in Europe has been requested from OpenAI and has not yet been granted: processing in the United States remains possible, covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Hosting and backups
ChargeTeam’s applications and databases are hosted in France, by OVH. The website goes through Cloudflare’s network, which protects it and speeds it up.
The databases are backed up every night. Each backup is read back, kept for seven days and copied every day to a second server. A full restore was tested on 3 October 2026; the test is scheduled every quarter.
What we do not promise
- ChargeTeam holds no security certification (ISO 27001, SOC 2 or other).
- We do not promise that all your data stays in the European Union: the Cloudflare relay and processing by OpenAI may involve a transfer outside the Union, covered as described in our privacy policy.
- No system is infallible: if you think you have found a vulnerability, write to us at contact@chargeteam.pro.
